Geze Fault Finding and Prevention

GEZE Automatic doors can last for many years if maintained correctly.

GEZE are a very reliable manufacturer of automated door systems, however, faults do occur from time to time.

Faults like worn floor guides and worn, damaged load/carrier wheels, worn damaged hinges, pivots and top centres etc. will cause resistance and make the motors work harder and reduce the life of the units.

Get faults like these fixed as soon as they appear or invest in regular maintenance so that potential problems are addressed before they occur.

The life of automatic doors can be increased if the operators are maintained correctly. Mechanically, the automatic doors should be running freely and smoothly, with the minimal amount of resistance.

GEZE have various versions of their processors and motors.

If the DPS is installed it will often display an error code which can help in diagnosing the fault. If you have this you can either search on the internet for the error code relating to your model and version of the control panel or give us a call on 0800 958 9968.

The fault codes can vary across the range, each GEZE version and GEZE model can have different fault codes indicating different faults.

Our Engineers are able to identify the faults on GEZE automatic doors and repair or recommend a solution to the faults.

Safety

GEZE automatic doors have various safety features and devices that work together to make the system safe and reduce the risk of hazards such as impact, crushing and shearing.

Some of the GEZE safety features, devices and components that work to ensure the GEZE automatic doors are as safe as possible are as follows, force limitation, battery monitoring, monitored presence safety devices, finger guards, internal processor monitoring, barriers and pocket screens etc.

Automatic doors should always be repaired, installed and maintained by competent qualified automatic door engineers such as ourselves who can ensure these safety features are operating correctly.
